Question

Workflow date range search syntax

asked on March 29, 2019 Show version history

I am trying to find entries that are +/- 6 months from the date that the workflow will run. I run a manual search in LF and get 42 entries.

I configured a date token calculator in WF and have two tokens, 6 months out and 6 months back.

I then configured my Search Repository activity to use those two date tokens in the search syntax.

However when I test my search query entering values for +/- 6 months, I only receive two results, not the 42 I was expecting.

Any suggestions as to why this isn't working correctly?

Figured it out, I had the return First 2 Results checked.

Are you logged into the Client as the same user specified in the workflow's connection profile? Rights can make a difference.

Also, the Client search looks across all templates ("[]:[AC End Date]") while Workflow is restricted to a template ("[FIN Contracts]:[AC End Date]").

Workflow is also looking one folder higher in the path than your Client search.

I signed in using the same credentials as workflow and modified my search to be the exact same as workflow (minus the date tokens). I am getting 43 results in the client.
