I am looking to see if it is possible to clear the name filed before ingestion. I am trying to ensure that staff have to update the file name before ingestion,

Laserfiche does not allow the name to be empty so it adds untitled as the document name even if you clear the attribute for default autoname.

You can either train your scanners to follow the naming convention, or use workflow to name every document with tokens from the metadata. We take the workflow approach because it allows us to set required fields and enforce field constraints.

From what I see the document will not import unless there is something in there due to it being a required field. I am hoping just to have it automatically blank before importing so the user adding the document has to add the name themselves
