Hi @████████,

Is this still not an available function? It seems to me that the ability to export a list of security groups and membership should be a relatively standard feature for a user access control system like LFDS. We have a relatively small environment with about 70 users, but like many customers, we use group membership to manage repository access. We do this with a collection of over 50 nested groups.

The ability to regularly export group membership is necessary to ensure that repository access is properly secured. Creating this by hand is extremely time-consuming.

Thanks for your suggestion; it is on our to-do list, but we don't have an estimated release yet. I have the request linked back to this post so we can update you when there are changes.

Can you tell me more about why you'd like an excel list of an individual group's members? Would you envision yourself downloading this for every group, or is it on an as-needed basis?

Hello Brianna,

Thank you. We manage most of our users via groups so that it is easy to grant permission to repository folder or to form processes. We have regular access review (like every quarter) which requires us to export the list of users.

If there is a export button, I can just export the users easily and tag the access they have.

I agree, this is necessary for auditing group membership and security.

Have there been any updates on this?   Is it possible or will it soon be possible to export Group memebers from the Directory Server?

I do not see this as an option in version 11.0.2204.1467 of LFDS.

It is still on our to-do list, unfortunately.

One important note is that our current group list does not store group membership for external groups like Windows groups and SAML groups, so if you use external directories, the exported list would include the external group name, not all the members of the group.

If you have anyone familiar with SQL, the group membership information can be found in the database.

Where in the DB can this data be found?
