Question

Developing Forms/Workflow as a group

asked on March 26, 2019

We have a very large Form that is our main process for implementing our product. We are always looking to make it better and update it. One issue we run into is we do not want to tweak the live form, so we created a test form, with most the same info, except for any emails or notifications go to us (as the development team) instead of the actually users in production. We do not have a great "process" for this, if there are multiple people editing the same form at the same time.

So my question, are there any tips and tricks, or anything out there to help with ways to edit a form as a team, and then just publish updates on a regular basis? (Instead of editing the live version).

Our process is to work on changes in the test environment, and periodically push new versions to production when they are ready. The process promotion tool they added in 10.4 is designed to make this process much easier.

However, as far as having multiple people working, the only thing you can really do is try to keep people from making simultaneous changes. If you have two people editing a form at the same time, it is inevitable that some of those changes are going to get lost when it saves.
