Newest Directory server severely limited

We recently upgraded to the most recent directory server. since then the search function is limited to only the user name. Not the first name, last name or any other field. It also will only list 100 users at a time. Are there any fixes to expand the search and display functions of directory server to bring them back to what was there in 10.0. also when I try to export a list of users I am limited to 100 at a time too. to get a full list I now have to create 11 exports and then manually concatenate the list to get one list.

Directory Server 10.4 had some small features and bug fixes released right around Empower (early February), including a fix for the export issue you noted. The version in the "about" dialog should say 10.4.1.127 if you are on the version with the fix.

The search filter was changed as part of significant performance fixes in the user listing for large numbers of users, but are aware that it doesn't yet match the full functionality before the performance improvements and have work lined up to improve it.

We already have noted the concern about searching on display name in addition to username and are looking into how we can add that back in.
