Workflow - How can a For Each Row not have any Current Values

asked on March 19, 2019 Show version history

Sometimes For Each Row objects don't include a Current Value Token. How can you have a For Each Row that doesn't ever have a Current Value regardless of how it is configured, isn't each iteration over a value? I would think the token should always be included, just like the iteration token is always included.

Edit: This is a For Each Value activity that happens to be named For Each Row 2, but same concept.

This seems to be a glitch on workflow designer that may not be updated. Can you confirm what's version of workflow are you using?

Also, did this happen when you copied that [For Each Value] activity from a previous working one?

If this is the case, you may need to upgrade your Laserfiche workflow because I couldn't reproduce the same issue at least on 10.4, and alternatively you can add a new [For each value] activity (not by copying), you still can copy the contained activities.

Oh yes, I have copied the For Each Values and or an entire chunk that contained For Each Values and it is workflow 10.2. Good to know its fixed in 10.4!

This is a known issue in 10.2 (bug reference # 158936). It's been fixed in 10.2.1 and higher.
