Question

Signatures on Forms

asked on March 16, 2019

Hello,

I am a new user of Forms. I apologize if this questions seems obvious. For paper forms that would normally require a signature before being submitted, like employment applications or summer camp registration forms, how do you have someone from the public put there signature on an electronic form from the City's website. I do work for local government and am looking for ways to use forms for our organization.

Thanks,

When you are creating your form, there is a Signature field type. You can read about the details here.

Hi Blake! Thank you for the link. I trying to picture how it will work. So... if someone isn't using their phone to sign, then they can just type their signature in? I'm thinking about people who are not internal that wouldn't need an automatic signature.

You can actually sign with a mouse as well, but yes they can just type their signature.

I didn't know that you could sign with your mouse. That's good to know. Can forms create confirmation number for people?

Yes, it could. Depending on the format you need it might change things a little. You could use something as simply as the Instance ID since it is always unique or you could use a Stored Procedure to create it.
