Forms Loading Very Slow in Chrome

asked on March 11, 2019 Show version history

I usually have our team stick to Google Chrome when using LFForms, because it plays better with some of the custom Javascript we use.

But I have one form that just loads really slow in Chrome (15-30 seconds or more), but works fine in IE or Edge (5 seconds), and I can't figure out why.

This form has a table in it with quite a few fields (2 dozen or so).  The table is populated by Workflow prior to the form being assigned as a user task.

When it gets more than about 10 rows in the table, the form starts to load very slow in Chrome, but still loads fine in IE and Edge.

I've already ruled out our custom Javascript and CSS, Field Rules, and Lookup Rules.  I've disabled browser extensions, cleared browser cache, and cleared browser cookies.

We're on Forms version 10.2.0.834 (10.2 Update 1, I believe).

Any other suggestions that I could try to streamline this form loading?

Thank you!

The only other clue I can find is that when the form is loading in Chrome, it first loads for 15-20 seconds, displaying the word "Loading", then it displays the form, but I can't select any of the fields for another 15-20 seconds.  When I check the console logs, there is a message that appears at the time that the form fields finally becomes selectable.

Alright, I'll talk to my VAR about that.  Thanks.
