Is the entered reason for a deletion action only available in the audit trial module? Is there any attribute assigned to the deleted entity that can be read somewhere else?

I am tempted by the idea of forcing a specific user to have to enter a reason for deletion, just as a forced mindful pause of whether or not the item needs to be deleted or could it be renamed/moved/split/etc instead as a way to save her time entering new files.
