I am looking for a few things here:

Some of my customers have setup their client attributes to automatically convert PDF documents to Image document on import and get rid of the PDF component. I don't think Laserfiche is offering a detection mechanism or option to bypass that setting and keep a Signed PDF when one gets imported.

Can Laserfiche confirm if a setting does exist?

If a setting does not exist, as a workaround to this above configuration, I could disable deleting automatically the PDF and I could write a Workflow Script to detect if there is a signature on that PDF and if no signature, then delete the electronic file component.

If I go with this method, I will need to write a script within my Workflow to detect a signature within a PDF but I have not seen many sample codes to perform that task.

Is there anyone who can share a sample code that can detect if a PDF is signed?

But, in the end, Ideally, I think that feature should be part of Laserfiche in the UI, to keep signed PDF on Import.

Workflow already has a Verify PDF Signatures activity. It can give you a token with the number of signatures found on the document.

Hi again... I would like to update this thread.

Some customers are used to have that option set in their Web Client and Windows Client... (to Generate Pages and delete the PDF)... and when we force this option to be different, users go back in their options and change it back to generate pages and delete the PDF.

This is then doing something we don't want, so absolutely need to prevent this.

I still see the need for Laserfiche to add a detection mechanism in the Web Client and Windows Client so when a PDF gets in, it will warn the user that it's a signed PDF and it should not be converted to Pages (and mainly does not delete the Electronic File).

Can this feature be added very soon?
