As Erik says, Laserfiche doesn't put any constraints on the file types you can store.  For something like a DVD, you'll have to decide how you want to store it.  An ISO file is probably the most direct way, but it's not a user-friendly format.  If you just want the video (and not e.g. titles and menus) then extract that and store it in a format that your users can play, like mp4.
