Thinking of Migrating to Drop Box, help?

Laserfiche Migration

Good day,

We currently used Laserfiche version 9.2.1 Service Pack 2 (9.2.1.673) on a local server. We only use it to store client files, like a big filing cabinet, none of the other features. Thinking of migrating our data to Dropbox.

Has anyone else migrated / exported data out of Laserfiche? Is there a best way? We would keep the same folder hierarchy in our new solution.

Any big downsides we should consider with such a move?

Have you spoken with your Laserfiche Solution Provider about migrating away from Laserfiche? If not that would be a good place to start.

If you are open to staying with Laserfiche they should be able to explain the benefits of Laserfiche over a file storage solution like Dropbox. If you do decide to migrate away from Laserfiche your Solution Provider should also be able to help you with that process as well.

Just spoke with them, they said it is a 'easy' process to move if we decide to go in that direction and they can offer instruction. Happy to share once I get a look at them. Also going to explore their new hosted solution.
