Question

Save to Repository in Forms was working, then not working

asked on February 22, 2019

Hello Friends,

I am facing an unusual issue with Forms. I am trying to save an attachment from a form into the repository. Initially, it worked fine the file attachment was being saved to the folder I specified. All of a sudden now the Save to Repository action is not working and it becomes a "Suspended Task" when I look at the monitor. I tried to retry the task and it still did not work.

Here are my settings which worked fine for a time:

I did some research and saw some users had similar issues, I tried some of these fixes but that did not work either.

We are using Forms 10.2, any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

When you right click on the suspended task what does the error log say? Could you screenshot it?

Hello David,

I am new to Laserfiche (2 weeks) and I did not know I could check the error log that way, thanks for the tip. Here is the error log,

Not sure what this error means though. Any help?

Hey Ronald,

Looks like the error indicates an issue accessing the folder or volume. I would make sure the user in the "Save to Repository" profile has access to the folder it's saving to. What happens if you manually add a doc to the folder, do you get an error?

If I manually try to import the file into the repository folder, I can import. Also when I have my the form that my file is attached to set to "Save as PDF" the actual form gets saved to that same location in the repository. Example:

This will save my form as a document to the folder in the repository, but it wont save the file attachment in the form. It was working fine, and then suddenly stopped working just for the file attachment.

edit: I double checked to make sure I have access rights to the folder. And I do

edit 2: So I tried changing the destination path to another folder, and the file attachment saves to this folder, but the entire business process is still suspended at the save to repository task. Weird.

Did you find a resolution to this?  We have this occasionally and have not been able to figure it out.  Thanks!
