Laserfiche admin console - Trying to import field and template.xmls files

I am trying to import field.xml and template.xml from one repository to another repository

First i import field.xml and Fields getting imported correctly.

then I import template.xml , template getting imported correctly however i find that few fields are duplicated as soon i imported template.xml.

Can anyone help to me understand is there any way out of this to avoid duplicate fields. If not, how i can create and update fields/templates from one repository to another , considering both repository going to have same structure/exact replica.

If all of your fields belong to templates, there should be no need to export the fields separately from the fields node. Try importing template.xml first, it should contain the field definitions as well and put them in the correct template(s).

Thanks Robert, Suggested solution only works for one time import (while creation on empty repository)

But it do not work on subsequent updates and next with every import creating duplicate field for each updated field.

When importing the xml, choose "Only update existing objects" to update the existing fields without creating duplicates:

We had tried with all 4 options and same issue.
