Hi Robinson,
The initial release of workflow within Process Automation on LF Cloud had focused on the activities to allow users to interact with the repository. We are continuing to work on new activities every release, with a focus being achieving parity with functionality that we currently have for Workflow on-premises.
In regards to the three items you have brought up:
- Interact with web services - we have a new Rule slated for 2019 that will allow users to perform web service requests.
- Assign permissions to docs and folders - we have plans to enhance the ability for workflow on Cloud to be able to interact with trustees, which will be needed for this particular feature.
- Interaction with Forms - workflow in the cloud was just released as part of the Process Automation platform. This platform will unify many LF products in the cloud. In the coming months, we will be releasing Forms features as part of the Process Automation platform as well, which will eventually supersede Forms as its own product. After Forms features are released in the process automation platform, we will introduce the ability for processes and workflows to interact within the platform.
Can you provide specific use cases and scenarios for these activities? The additional information will help us prioritize the develop these features in a way that is optimal for our cloud platform.
