XML read in Cloud Workflow Designer?

I'm beginning to explore LF cloud workflow and it's possibilities. I have experience in On Premise WF and in some of the flows I've done, I use the "Read XML" activity. It is not present as it, in the Cloud version, so my question is How do one go about reading XML files and values in cloud version?

Hi Javier,

We are working on adding new activities for workflow within Process Automation on LF Cloud every release., focusing on some of the highly prioritized ones currently available on-premises.  The "Read XML" activity is currently slated for development in 2019, we are expecting to have this available soon.  As of right now, you will not be able to read XML files.

Can you provide me the most common scenarios and use cases for which the Read XML activity is needed?  This will provide more context for us in prioritizing and developing this activity for the cloud.

The most relevant use case is this: We use XML read activity in a workflow that virtually all of our customers use (or could use), and that is the automatic processing of accounts receivable (in the form of pdf invoices with an accompanying xml data file). The important xml data pieces are then inserted into LF fields thus making accounts receivable processing a piece of cake. 

We have this wf developed in on premise wf designer, but since we don't have xml read in WF Cloud, hence the question.
