Can't get it to work with Chrome. Pretty much doesn't want to work with anything.

I followed how it says to modify Chrome properties and it won't record anything. It took three tries to even get it to run at all. Not really impressed at this point.

Hi Kevin,

Do you mind elaborating on what you mean by 3 tries to get it to run? If you can let us know the error messages and context, we can take a look into it.

Thanks,

Cosette

What I mean is that it took three separate attempts to get it to install. Both of the first two installs produced a dialog that said it needed to restart the machine - which is fairly standard. I okayed the restart and when it was done, I looked in program menu and there was no new program. I looked under Laserfiche in both Program Files and Program Files (x86) and no folder created. Both times, same. The third time, it did succeed in installing.

What we want to use if for is automating some of the clicks in the Laserfiche web client - particularly printing documents. So, I tried it recording with Chrome - it wanted me to make changes to the configuration, which I did and tried again. Turned on recording and went through steps to print, said save and it said nothing to save.

Windows 10, up to date. Chrome 72

Hi Kevin,

The first part of restarting seems specific to Windows (it depends on which Windows features were already turned on, pending updates, etc). In these cases, Windows won't allow the actual install for RPA to begin until it does its restart.

Chrome configuration is expected, since we use a Chrome debugger in order to have higher accuracy in grabbing the controls. Is it still prompting to configure, or is it now allowing you to record on Chrome?

As far as nothing to save, all actions should be displayed in the action history.

If this is empty, then no actions have been saved and that error message is expected.  The documentation on how to record a specific type of action are available here

Thanks,

Cosette
