Hi,

Was wondering if anyone could help. We currently have over 250 forms and growing, we export 60 forms from this pool to each of our 11 customers.

On the majority of forms there are common fields that may appear multiple times within a form containing default values eg rank lists, guest lists, etc. These fields have been given class names to help differentiate them from other fields and are therefore easy to locate across all the forms.

The customers are now wanting the option to edit these fields and their default values (predominantly drop down lists). I know I could create lookups so one change changes all, unfortunately we are on 10.2 so the importing of forms loses all the lookups and we have to re-input them each time, so the more lookups the more hassle.

I have created another method which is simple and effective (most of the time). Using the .cf_fields table I am able to edit the fields default values directly and quickly. This method does work, but occasionally if you go into the forms designer you can see the changes in the dropdown edit but not when you preview it (still has the old values). The only way to get around this is to re-save the form in the forms designer or process designer, this seems to establish the changes..

I have logged out and back in again, cleared out the browser cache and neither show the changes only re-saving the form works.

I was wondering if there was a way to re-initialize the form automatically so the changes take effect or if there is something else I should be changing. I know 10.4 doesn't drop the lookup tables and would probably make the task easier for deployment but that isn't an option at the moment.

Thanks
