Question

Question

Custom search to a specific folder

asked on February 14, 2019

Hi folks,

I tried to find the answer to this, but I am still new and I believe I didn't find it, but may be corrected with this post.

we are using WebLink 9 and we setup a Search form on the home page to do a search for permits. I managed to get this going, my question though is where can I put line of code to specify where this search occurs once the submit button is hit?

To limit your weblink search to a specific folder you'll need to use a custom constraint.  Then add advanced search syntax in the constraint definition.

{LF:LOOKIN="REPOSITORYNAME\Path\Path\etc"}

Looks like that worked! Thank you sir!

Search Query Tab: Click on the green plus sign to add custom constraint.

{[Permit Template Name]}

Now regardless of location in your repository the document would be located because your constraint is set to search for only permits template.
