I was wondering when the redaction functionality that is in 10.4 will be available in the cloud edition?

Apply Text Annotation was released in early January to the Laserfiche Cloud.
We need to be able to redact a person's name where ever it is found in the document
I believe 10.4 can only use pattern matching to determine what to redact, we would need to pass a token
I believe the same is true of quick fields, it only uses pattern matching for determining what to redact
I think the ability to redact a person's name is a very common use case
Workflow in the Laserfiche Cloud allow using tokens in a pattern. So if you have the person's name as a token, pass it to the pattern and the Add Text Annotation activity will use that to find and redact the value.
Edit: oops, tokens in the redaction pattern is slated for 10.4.1 for on-premises Workflow.
FYI, Quick Fields 10.1 and later can also accept tokens as part of a pattern for redaction. There isn’t a token picker but if you manually input the token syntax it will work. (See https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1013824/list-of-changes-for-quick-fields-10-1)
Can we get you to add the ability to pass a field token to the Add Text Annotation? We could have a field in the template called redact. If someone put the value in the field and then saved it we could pass that value to the ATA and redact it.
Hi Greg,
The ability to pass a token to the field for Add Text Annotation will be released in 10.4.1.
Awesome!!! Thank you!!!
