Hello,

Does anyone have any experience implementing Import Agent in a VDI environment? I have had no trouble with Remote desktops/network folders and importagent but I cannot figure out why Import Agent is having trouble in the VDI. Essentially, it took a very long time to download and install (like hours) and once it was finally up and running, it cannot find the monitored folder. I have no trouble navigating to the folder, but ImportAgent just doesn't see it.

Are you attempting to run Import Agent inside on of the VDI guest instances? It needs to be able to run a persistent service. Your specific VDI implementation might be making that difficult.

Can you clarify what you mean by VDI? Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, is generally multiple guest OS instances, whereas something like Remote Desktop Services is one OS instance that allows multiple users simultaneously.

It's not a remote desktop service, It's a Virtual desktop environment where all users can gt in but only access what they need. I have even tried launching importagent on the local machine as a test, to see if it can locate a desktop folder with no success. Something with their permissions is throwing a BIG wrench in the works.
