Forms 10.4 upgrade question regarding Authenticated participants count

asked on February 11, 2019

Doing an Forms 10.2.1 to 10.4 upgrade, Authenticated participants displays 0.  This is not correct.  As we were not sure if proceeding would negatively impact our installation, we stopped.  We looked for documentation only to find the Help file link was broken as well in hte 10.4 ISO.

Is having a '0' value normal?  Will proceeding negatively effect our installation?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Since you are on Rio, you are using Directory Server (LFDS) to manage your licenses.

As such, the user count for a specific registered instance of forms can be managed either when installing or from the LFDS administration UI.

If you were never prompted to type in a number of users, I recommend going into the LFDS administration page to determine whether your forms participant licenses are correctly allocated to that forms machine.

You can find that under the application list, and add the licenses using "edit" if they are not allocated to the correct machine:

If that number looks correct, you could try downloading the license directly from this page and importing during install instead of pointing Forms to the LFDS machine.

Thank you for your help.

Our number is not correct.

What happens when you go to "edit" like I showed in my screenshot?

The allocation box should be available under "Advanced options" on the bottom.

You should also see the total number of licenses remaining for authenticated participants. Since you have allocated 155 to your other two servers, you will not have all your participant licenses available for the server you highlighted.
