Web Access url to stream media file

Hello!

I found this glorious nugget of information in Help Files/User Guide, but it's not working. Can someone help point out what might be wrong?

Electronic documents that are not Microsoft Office documents can be either downloaded or, if they are audio or media files, streamed directly in the browser.

Download: https://ServerName/laserfiche/electronicfile.aspx?db=dbName&id=EntryID&mode=Export

Stream media file (audio and video files only): https://ServerName/laserfiche/browse.aspx?db=dbName&media=EntryID

I have a .wmv file saved to our repository.

Hey, Sarah,

The web client leverages your browser's streaming capabilities. Unfortunately, Chrome, Firefox, and IE don't have native support for streaming WMV video file formats.

Media file types like MP3 and MP4 will work though!

Also, as of Laserfiche 10.4 they can now be streamed directly through the document viewer, so you can just open it up in the document viewer and grab the browser URL, or right-click and select 'copy URL' on it in the folder browser. The browser support restrictions still apply though.
