Hi All,

 

I had a frustrating weekend whilst trying to perform an LFDS merge. I had wrongly assumed that I could simply export all the users from all the LFDS servers and merge them into a new server after having Laserfiche merge the licenses. It seems that you are unable to import Windows/Domain accounts using a CSV file. The import process classes the \ as an illegal character. I can’t find any reference of this in the documentation.

 

Please can the domain accounts be either excluded from the export, a warning added about being able to re-import if domain accounts exist or update the import section to allow importing of windows accounts. Please can we also update the documentation/help files to include a note on this.

 

I appreciate that you can perform an active directory sync to get users into LFDS, but the customers AD isn’t always in a state where this is possible. Also, on this same note, disabled accounts are also included in the sync, if they are still a member of the group within the sync rule, please can this also be modified to exclude disabled AD accounts in the sync rule.
