Possible Bug: Import Agent Post-Processing Cleanup

posted on January 26, 2019 Show version history

Hello,

I was having issues with the auto-cleanup in Import Agent 10.3.1.479 not deleting files from some folders and I finally identified what was causing the problem.

If the monitored folder path has a backslash at the end of the path, all the other functionality seems to work fine, but the cleanup rules will not be applied.

For example,

If the path is D:\Folder\Subfolder everything works as expected

However, if the path is D:\Folder\Subfolder\ and the "Delete unmodified files after" value is set, the files will never be deleted.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but all of my profiles were also set to retrieve files from subfolders. I don't have any import profiles without that setting so I can't say for sure that the issue occurs in both cases.

I thought this was worth pointing out since the automated cleanup is the only functionality that seems to be affected.

Hi,

Was anything ever done about this issue?

We have set the "Delete unmodified files after" value and it is working for us when the path is Folder\Subfolder but not when the path is Folder\Subfolder\Date.

Hi Andrew,

Could you please provide the configuration in 'Post-processing' tab? Thanks. I tried to reproduce for your case, but it is not reproduced.

Hi Qinmei,

We had -

  • Move to as Processed\%(Subfolder) and Grouped Into as %(Date)

We have altered this so it is now -

  • Move to as Processed and Grouped Into as (Subfolder)\%(Date)

and it is now working fine so many thanks.
