Question

LF Scanning - Default Scanner Software

asked on January 22, 2019

We use Laserfiche Scanning on a regular basis. The settings we use are actually within the Default Scanner Software (Canon DR-M140).

However, the settings that come up in the canon window do not match the other settings on the PC and have to be changed manually each time.

Does LF Scanning pull the driver settings from a specific location and if so, where?

Hi,

The answer may depend on a couple of different factors. Most important are the following:

1. Which scan source are you using?

2. Can you elaborate on which settings you're hoping to save?

We use twain.

The setting the canon software allows that we use is Error Diffusion. This takes the place of 256-Grayscale and compresses files that saves us a tremendous amount of disk space. We also direct staff to use 200DPI.
