Question

single instance mode workflow

asked on January 20, 2019

i'm using this feature from long time now in workflow named (email_task) that sends emails to specific users every 5 minutes.(https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/148061/Feature-Request-Do-Not-Start-a-New-Instance-if-Workflow-is-Already-Running#154017 )

but from 2 months we had power failure that cause some of our servers to shutdown. after that there was no emails sending to the user, and when i try to run it manually i'm getting error (there is already another instance is running) and when i search for any running instance i can not find any . so i think there is one record stuck in the database that causing this problem. how can i solve it ?

You should be able to go in to the Workflow Designer, common searches, click the workflow in question, right click the instance that is still running and select end workflow.

Yes, in some cases as described in this question like failure, crash or services stopping, some WF instances may not complete (or updating status) and stuck in the middle as running status in database, and when searching for running instances in Workflow Designer there are no results.

Is there any way to check for stuck instances in database? And how can we kill or at least how to show them in WF Designer?

Hi @████████, checking if you ever found out which db tables/columns indicate workflow instances with Email Task.
