importing windows properties

hi all,

i was wondering if i can save/keep the document properties when imported in laserfiche.

i mean created by ; date of creation, last modification.... i know that when importing a document into laserfiche the properties are related to the date and user that imported that document into laserfiche; not the ones that exist in windows.

If you use Import Agent, you can access some (but not all) of the file information as tokens for metadata fields, entry name, or destination folder path.

thank you Jason,

good to know for import agent, but actually i'm not using import agent, i am importing document manually through laserfiche client.

Do you know a way to do that ?

When importing through the client, if you go into the metadata pane you can open the Token menu and it will give you similar information.

You can then set your custom metadata fields using those tokens and it will set them when the file is imported.
