I have a client where we just setup Import Agent 10.3 along with some workflows to automate importation of documents from another system and everything is working except Import Agent's OCR.

We are importing PDFs converting them to tifs and deleting the original electronic file and just storing the tifs with extracted OCR text.

We have narrowed down the behaviour and it is really strange. When the monitored folder is on the Import Agent machine itself, the documents and OCRed text get imported no problem, everything works.

When the monitored folder is on the network the documents are imported with no problems but the OCR text is missing. There are no error messages in the Event Viewer.

No changes are made except the location of the monitored folder. We even imported the same documents to make sure.

The only thing we can think of is that there must be a permission missing for Import Agents service account on the network monitored folder. Anyone know what permissions we need to specify or what we need to do to get OCR to work on a monitored network folder?
