Error Message When Using API to Index a Document to Multiple Clients on Import: Parameter too long or out of range error (9020)

We have a custom application that when submitting a document, if it is indexed to multiple client records (keyword sets), we receive the following error:

Parameter too long or out of range error (9020)

On investigating it looks like this used to happen in older versions of LF, but we are using 10.2.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

I'm not sure how "indexed to multiple client records (keyword sets)" translates into your use of the SDK, but could it be that it results in you trying to store more data in a metadata field than the field can hold? If not, can you give more details about how you are using the SDK?
