Question

Weblink 9- Specified operator is not supported for the requested search type

asked on December 21, 2018

Hello,

We have a customer who was moved to 10.3.1 for their LF Modules, except for Weblink, which is version 9.

They are encountering this error "Specified operator is not supported for the requested search type" when trying to do a Simple Text Search from the Weblink page.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Jeff Curtis

Jeff,

Please confirm if the issue is what I stated above. If so, then note that you had a support case for this same issue previously and a hotfix for Laserfiche Server 10.3.1 had already been provided. Refer to your old support case, 197965.

Hi Jeff,

Is this regarding a custom search form in WebLink 9 using the "any text" search type against Laserfiche Server 10.3.1? If so, can the customer upgrade to Laserfiche Server 10.4? There's an issue in LFS 10.3.1 where it fails when trying to process LF:callout search syntax (which is generated by WebLink 9 when using the "any text" option in custom search forms). We've fixed this in Laserfiche Server 10.4.

Hello Alex,

Sorry for the delay in looking at this, as the Customer has been OOF until today.

I will confirm with the customer the search type.

Yes this would be Weblink9 searching against 10.3.1, as they customer upgraded to RIO 10.3.1 about 3 weeks ago.

Thanks,

Jeff Curtis

Hello Alex,

Could there possibly be a work around for this, since the customer just went through the upgrade to 10.3.1 in the last few weeks.

They are not looking to update Weblink at this time either,

Thanks,

Jeff Curtis

Thanks Alex!!

Yes- it is the same scenario that I had encountered before.

Thank you for the reminder.

I have provided the customer the steps for this.
