Question

Directory server - forms - participant licenses

asked on December 20, 2018

I am trying to assign participant licenses. I have not done this before.

I assume I would go into a forms professional assignment and then click on Advanced settings ?

clicking that link, does nothing in Chrome or IE.

what should I do ?

thanks

Depending on your setup, you can assign Participant Licenses under the "Accounts" tab and setting it for each user individually, under Identity Providers you can set up a rule that allocates them to members of an AD group.

Thanks, this may help for 1 case we have. We provide licensing for 2 other organizations under us, so I would like to allocate some to their servers.

We currently just allocate a total number of full licensed spots, our Directory Servers does Not have the individuals names. and so i would like to allocate participant licenses, then go in forms and add a new user there.

In Forms should I be able to +Add a new user ? and select License = Yes ?

Thanks

It really depends on your configuration. If you're using Repository Authentication or Directory Server Authentication for Forms they have very different options.

Directory Server Authentication is much more centralized, but it looks like you're using Repository Authentication, which requires a different process.

We switched to an LFDS configuration more than a year ago, so my memory of Repository Authentication is a bit fuzzy.
