Documents are not indexing

I have a site where documents are not being indexed on creation and/or OCR.  They have the option set to always index on document creation, yet many documents are not indexing.  We do not find anything in the error or event logs that give us any indication of why it is not auto indexing.

They can manually trigger the index process and then the document gets indexed and is text searchable, but it adds time to their process to manually index each document that they bring into the repository.

Any thoughts on why documents are not auto indexing and how to fix it?

They are running:

Laserfiche Server 10.3.1.236 on Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter   6.3.9600 Build 9600 (LFFTS running here)

Laserfiche Client 10.3.1.502 on Windows 10 10.0.17134.319   1803

Quick Fields 10.3.0.66 on Windows 10 10.0.17134.319   1803

Laserfiche Client 10.3.1.479 w/ Laserfiche Scanning 10.3.1.306 on Windows 10 10.0.17134.319   1803

Hey Bert! Do you think the search catalogue might be corrupt? Have you tried a re-index?

Thanks for the suggestion Chris.

Reindexing was the first thing I did.  Also, if the Search Catalog was corrupt, a manually initiated index would not work either.

Ah ok, if you import the document directly on the server, do you see any difference?

Some documents do auto index while some do not.  It was initially noticed that documents coming from Quick Fields were not being indexed, but that has spread to users using the full client to import or scan.  Since it is not every user/document, we have not specifically tested from the server directly.

 

But my real question is why the documents are not auto indexing when the search catalog is configured to auto index all new documents.

Open a support a case and submit the following logs to expedite the solution, From the Laserfiche server machine copy of admin and operation log from Event Viewer> Application and Services> Laserfiche Content Repository.

Also submit from the machine where Laserfiche Full-Text Indexing and Search Engine have being installed, a copy of the Admin, Debug, and Operational logs in evtx formatfrom Event Viewer>Application and Services> Laserfiche> SearchEngine.
