Quick Fields Not Keeping Metadata Changes for Some Users

asked on December 11, 2018

When Quick Fields (9.0.0.427) scans in documents the zonal OCR sometimes puts invalid values in the metadata fields.  These values are corrected by the user before the documents are stored to Laserfiche.  However, the changes made to the metadata do not hold for some users and the values revert back to the original incorrect ones when trying to store the documents in Laserfiche.  The changes will remain in Quick Fields until the user clicks on the "Stores all documents in the Laserfiche repository" button.

Without the correct values, the documents cannot be stored in Laserfiche and they remain in Quick Fields.  Another user using the same Quick Fields session can update the values in the metadata and store the same documents in Laserfiche without losing the changes they made.

Why are some users able to keep the metadata changes when storing to Laserfiche and others are not?

Hi Annette,

This is sort of a late response but I would try installing the following hotfix for Quick Fields and see if this resolves your issue.
