How to start a Form/Ticket with an email as the start process

asked on December 10, 2018

We have two workflows that are email generated. Anyone who sends an email to a specific email address - generated a help desk ticket. How do I do this in Laserfiche?

You could use the Email Archive Agent, which was added in the latest version of Import Agent. The Email agent allows you to have Laserfiche receive and import emails with metadata extraction. You could also configure a workflow triggered by the creation of documents in the import folder and use that workflow to kick off the Forms process.

I was hoping that Laserfiche had a easier/built in option.

What do you want to do in Laserfiche exactly??  Are you saying you want to move from having to use the emails as a trigger?  We created and are actually updating a ticketing system for our company.  We have licenses for all users and anyone can create a document and choose the template we created and submit the ticket that way.

We are trying to figure out a way to handle date dependencies and whatnot.

We want an email from an outside source to create a ticking process. so an end user can email to an specific email address and the email will generate/create the ticket. I was thinking that we could use quick fields to pull specific data from the email. but unsure.

We have no problem with tickets/forms being created inside of the organization. the problem is a few civilians who are not in the organization placing a ticket.

@Bonnie did you ever find a solution for this?
