Import Agent-There was an error running the profile while importing the file

asked on November 30, 2018

Hello,

Our customer has many of the following Critical Errors in the IA Admin Event Logs:

There was an error moving the file "E:\Import Agent Folders\Branch Offices\California\image2018-11-30-095722.tif" to "E:\Import Agent Folders\Branch Offices\California\IAError". (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process : E:\Import Agent Folders\Branch Offices\California\IAError\image2018-11-30-095722.tif)

The thing is, all the tif files get processed and moved to the processed folder, per the IA profile, as well as, get routed to the appropriate folder in the Repository.

I am just wondering why we are seeing these Critical Errors, but there seems to be no issue with the images being processed.

Thanks,

Jeff Curtis

Hi Jeff,

Are the files processed by other profiles as well? Or other software?

Thanks,

Qinmei

Hello Qinmei,

There are multiple IA profiles, for each of their branch offices.  I would say about 15-20.

I am having a similar issue.  It appears that most of the times the documents make it into the repository, but there are other instances where the documents do get routed to the error folder and have to be manually moved back to the initial folder for processing.

Has this issue been resolved or explained?  I'm having the same issue.  The files are very large (47MB) so I was thinking that if I set the time it checks for new files from 10 seconds to 5 minutes it would give the file time to complete the copy?  Does import agent start to import a document as soon as it sees it in the folder?

Thanks

Sandy

Hi Jeff,

Did you ever figure out what the issue was here? Experiencing something similar.

Thanks!
