Tag watermark datetime does not update when viewing document in Web Client

Hi, we have notice an issue with the watermark in tag when using the Date/Time token. When viewing a document in Web Client with this tag assigned, the date/time watermark is applying the session login date/time rather than the moment the document was opened, whereas in Windows Client, the watermark date/time token is dynamically updated at the moment the document is opened.

 

Is this by design or is it a bug within the Web Client? Thanks.

The web client caches page data and doesn't generate new pages the second time you open a document. Are you sure it's using the login time - does every document get the same timestamp?

My bad, it seems it is using the time when the document gets open, as opening another document has a different time. Does the cache only gets clear after the user logout or expires after a certain time? Thanks

The cache has a limited size, so pages may be removed when the user navigates to a different document.  There isn't a time component to the caching, though everything is cleaned up when the session expires.
