We are considering setting up a development environment. We have 2 options.

1. Spin up new VM's and install and license the LF software. There is no production software upgrade planned. Hence to match the production environment we would have to install all the software with the patches for each components (like forms etc).

2. Take VM snapshots of production VM with the LF software and re-license them. Is this possible? Would we wreck the production environment? We have Rio with a separate license for dev LFDS. Hence we would have a prod and dev LFDS.

Any insight is appreciated.
