Question

Duplication of Logs?

asked on November 19, 2018

Hi LF,

A customer is looking to Splunk all server and application logs http://www.splunk.com.

I was having a look at the Workflow logs and it appears that the logs on disk...

  • \Laserfiche\Laserfiche Workflow 10.2\Logs
  • \Program Files\Laserfiche\Laserfiche Workflow 10.2\Logs\Errors

...repeat the logs in the Event Viewer. Ideally, the customer would just monitor one source. Can we ignore the disk logs is we're capturing the Event Viewer logs, or is there additional data there?

The disk logs are the complete ones. The events written to the Event Log are just the ones an administrator may want/need to take action on.
