Cloud Solution

asked on November 19, 2018 Show version history

Dear All,

we have a scenario and looking for the best solution and if someone faced the same scenario before:

we will be working in cloud environment.

we have documents that needs to be imported to the cloud by import agent, and then a workflow should query the metadata from an excel file reference to the document name, and route it correctly.

so i have many questions :

1- can we have a DB on the could environment? with query data activity from workflow on cloud?

2- can we make a web service on the laserfiche cloud environment ?

3- how can we send the excel to the cloud and read from it the data?

4- is there a way to have a trial cloud environment to test our scenario ?

thank you

Maher.

I'm not really sure what you're asking.

If you're talking about Laserfiche Cloud, that is currently available in the US only and does not support hosting a database (though it offers similar functionality through the business entities feature).

If you're planning on setting up your own Laserfiche instances in AWS or Azure, then you are in charge of the environment, so it's up to you what is hosted in it.

hello miruna,

we have a client that needs to have laserfiche cloud, and we need to host it on laserfiche original cloud.

the client is looking to migrate hi documents from a shared location on his network to laserfiche( we can do it with import agent).

but we have an excel that contains the metadata with reference to each document.

how can we do this ?

thank you.

i think we can do this by using import agent file import not document import, if we make a tool that merge the document location with the respective metadata from the excel, and we import it using import agent to the cloud will it work ?
