We would like to be able to use Laserfiche links in an Excel spreadsheet! Is this something that is already being worked on?

Feature Request: Laserfiche links in Excel spreadsheet

Hi Kirsty,
Did you know links in Laserfiche were supported through WebDAV and CMIS?
I've successfully used WebDAV for links but haven't tried with CMIS yet.

Hi Ben, I work in records management, not in IT :). I should have clarified that I know that we can link to imaged documents, so that they open in the Viewer, but I don't think there is a way to link in Excel a Laserfiche document so that it opens in the native program (such as a Word document). Have you had any success doing this? I attended a User Group meeting last week and no one there knew of a way to do this. Thanks!
Hi Kirsty,
I've used WebDAV to link spreadsheets, so the cells of one spread sheet are updated from the data in another spreadsheet (both stored in Laserfiche an viewed in MS Excel). I expect the same technique will work to procide the functionality you're after.

You can adjust the URL as per this link:
With webdav you can link as though the file was on a sharedrive and doesn't require weblink.
For example, if the file is in your repository:
Canada-Gov\HR\Staff\Kirsty\LeaveDays.xlsx
you would reference it like this:
https://lfserver.gov.ca/lf/HR/Staff/Kirsty/LeaveDays.xlsx
