Question

The requested service (iAutoTrigger) may not be running.

asked on November 7, 2018

After struggling to get Forms working and having assistance from LF support, we finally are able to log into forms, but submissions do not show up in the history or the repository.  When I tried to create a simple demo form, upon publishing, I get the "The requested service (iAutoTrigger) may not be running. [LFF3004-UnableToOpenServiceProxy]" error.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this new issue?

I had another tech go through the config files with me and we found that I had missed 2 things.  After correcting those items, the forms submission as well as the publishing errors were corrected.

One of the errors was right in the image posted and I have highlighted it in pink below

The other thing was I missed changing one of the security modes from Transport to None.

Thanks for the update. Please note that I only modified the config files to help you get STS working. I didn't verify anything for you regarding the DMZ setup.

We have a user with the same error.

This is an Internal Forms Server.

I see the localhost:8738 listed in the RoutingEngineServiceHost Config file, but not in the WebConfig file.

Do we need to add the entry to the WebConfig file and then also set the Security Mode="none"?

Thanks,

Jeff Curtis

Please confirm that the steps from https://support.laserfiche.com/resources/3481/hosting-laserfiche-forms-10-in-a-perimeter-network-dmz regarding setting up two Forms Servers with two STS instances has been followed.

Specifically, you have the specified endpoints mentioned configured properly, i.e. the lfautotrigger endpoint using the proper FQDN of the internal Forms server and not "localhost" and that the indicated ports are open in the firewall such that from the DMZ, you can telnet to the internal server using the configured host name and port.

I have been through that paper about 50 times before, and you also went through the config files.

The Forms Web.config on server in the DMZ:

All of the highlighted ports are reachable using telnet.
