Question

Weblink Date field columns not displaying correctly

asked on November 7, 2018 Show version history

Hello,

Today I noticed that date field columns do not display correctly in the WebLink browser view. We are currently running version 10.1.0.151

When the document is opened, or when using the desktop client, the dates are displayed in the correct format.

However, when browsing in WebLink the values in those columns appear in a format like "/Date(1439276400000)/"

See screenshot below

A hotfix for this issue is available. It would be applied on top of WebLink 10.1.0.151. Until the hotfix is made publicly available, please open a support case with your Laserfiche solution provider (VAR) to get the hotfix. You can refer to Bug 102070.

Thanks Alexander! I reached out to LFC earlier today so I will reply again with the bug number.

You're welcome. I've also reached out to them about this as well so they should have you covered.

Hi Alex,

Per your suggestion, a case was opened but it was closed without a hotfix given.  Could you take a look into this?

Thanks.

hi all,

Attached you will find a zip containing Weblink.dll and WeblinkControls.dll. Note that this fix requires that the customer be on WebLInk 10.1 and have already applied https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1013994/list-of-changes-for-laserfiche-weblink-10-1-update-1. Please do the following:

1. Back up WebLink.dll and WebLinkControls.dll from C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WebLink\WebLink\Web Files\bin into a new folder
2. Replace the WebLink.dll and WebLinkControls.dll in C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WebLink\WebLink\Web Files\bin with the files provided
3. Recycle the WebLinkAppPool

Thanks

I'm not seeing this on 10.1.0.60. It's almost certainly a bug. That date string is the underlying data that gets parsed in the browser.

Yea, that is what I was seeing; just looks like a raw unformatted epoch time.

I'm curious if anyone else on 10.1.0.151 is having the same issue, or if it is just something in our environment.
