It depends on if Laserfiche imaged pages have been generated for the PDFs. If pages are there, you'll see a number. Generating image pages allows you to do some actions on the PDFs in the document viewers, such as apply annotations or get full-text-search context hits. It used to (way back) also be necessary to view the PDF in the document viewer without downloading it, but that's no longer needed these days with native PDF viewer support. It will depend on user import settings if the pages actually are generated on import.
