DocuSigned Document not updating in Repository

posted on November 2, 2018

We have DocuSign set up and can send a document out for signing.
Upon the document being signed, the repository will change the version of the document that was sent and we receive the DocuSign Certificate into the repository. Although the Document we sent for signing version changes, it does not update the document with the DocuSigned document.

We've only been able to make this work by deleting the document once it was sent for signing, at which point a new document will be created upon completion of the signing and it will be the signed version.

We are using 10.3.1.98 of the WebClient

The user account we are using with the Web Import Services is an Admin account.

Any thoughts

Has there been any resolution to this issue?

I'm running into a similar problem when I write to a pdf. I spent hours trying to troubleshoot a workflow only to find out that if I download the 'electronic' version of the pdf not the 'image' the data was writing to it all along. I really want the image to update in the repository?

I'm not clear on what sort of resolution is expected. If pages were generated based off of the original PDF, and the PDF gets modified, then you'd have to regenerate the images from the newly modified PDF.

Is there a workflow tool to regenerate the image?

Hi Alex, to Levi's point, we need a workflow tool or a feature to generate pages when the file is updated. The fact that the user would have to do this manually is both inefficient as a product and troublesome for the user.  Hopefully something you will consider for future roadmap.

A support case was opened for this matter. After the document was sent to DocuSign for signing and completed/returned back to the Laserfiche repository, the user was still looking at the generated image pages from the original unsigned PDF. Once the web client document viewer was switched to view the actual PDF, then it properly displayed the signed/completed document.
