Customer wants to have users update an Excel spreadsheet with new vendor names and vendor codes, and then use a dynamic field to pull the vendor name and vendor code when indexing new files in Laserfiche client v10.2. What information do we need to put into the Dynamic Fields Register New External Table window to connect to the Excel file?
We have already seen warnings about Excel not being multi-threaded and the ideas about using Workflow to get the data into SQL and then into Forms, and that may work in the future but for now we need to get this working.
