WebLink 10 Search Forms

asked on October 30, 2018

Good Morning,

I'm working on a WebLink search form and I can't help but feel that the search form designer for WebLink 10 is far more limited than what was available in version 9.

As an example, a search form I designed in 9 used the table layout to put fields side-by-side and had conditional rules which gave me a very dynamic search form, but I can't seem to do the same thing in 10.

I looked at the administration guide and the Search Form instructions mention several form elements and tabs that are not listed in my designer interface; the page says it is for version 10, but is that accurate?

How can I build a form that has the same dynamic/conditional search functionality as was available in version 9?

UPDATE: As a workaround, I ended up creating my own search form HTML page that builds a search URL dynamically and opens the URL in a new tab when the "Search" button is clicked. I dropped the HTML file in the WebLink folder and linked it on the Welcome page; it works for what I need, but it is not ideal from a maintenance perspective.
