With the Import Agent Email Archiving, what happens if the import agent service, or the server that import agent is installed on, is down? Will any incoming emails be put into a queue much like documents are located within a folder that import agent monitors? Or will the original email service get bounce back emails and then any failed email would need to be resent?
For some background, we are attempting to determine how to best facilitate an automatic email archive with Laserfiche. The client had concerns about losing track of some emails, and I couldn't find any documentation on how the Import Agent service would handle these.

Hi.
I have received a similar request from one of our customers. This customer is using the SMTP option and is asking what happens to emails if the LF Repository is offline or down.
I, too, have not been able to find any explanation so far on how the service handles emails in these situations. Do the emails get lost or are they stored somewhere, similar to what happens when IA stores unprocessed documents in the \IAError folder?
Thank you!
Rob
