Question

Command Line Example?

asked on October 17, 2018

With Connector there is the ability to call it using command line parameters. There is some information in the help documentation, but there is not an example of what a full command line call would look like. Does someone have one and can one be added to the help documentation?

Hi Blake,

Please refer to command line parameter on the online help.

Thanks,

Qinmei

I was just looking into this today myself and there still is a lack of any example usage of command line parameters in the online help or any Whitepaper or documentation that I've been able to find. There are also references to using /tt [TokenType] and /tp [TokenFormattingPattern] but I've found nothing saying what values they accept.

Experimenting, I was able to send a couple token values to use for populating the doc name/folder path and template.

Example command line to run the "import test" Connector profile:

lfc.exe /rpn "import test" /tn Token1 /tv 111 /tn Token2 /tv 222 /importfile "c:\temp\done\sample 1.tif"

In the profile editor I had manually entered %(Token1) and %(Token2) into the document name and template fields and they were populated correctly in Laserfiche with the values from the command line.

Is there any documentation on using command line parameters with Connector other than the very limited info in the online help? https://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/Laserfiche/10/en-US/administration/#../Subsystems/Connector/Content/CreatingAProfile.htm#CommandLine
