Users unable to start business processes after workflow server name change

posted on October 16, 2018

The computer name of the workflow server has been changed, since then when the user's try to start a business process it says it can not resolve to the old server name, as if it is hard coded into the workflow.

I have reviewed the workflow and the business process rule. It does not reference the old server name anywhere that I can see. It is only a check box that states "Make this workflow a business process"

When viewing the business process rule it has no hard coded references to the old server name.

I have re-published all Business Process workflows immediately after the name change and confirmed updating the business process.

Hi Chad

When you change the workflow server name, you need to update the Workflow Server name in Formscongif as shown in the image below.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, that has been updated. This problem is with workflow though, not forms. When users start a business process.

I thought I found it, under the workflow config, workflow web services. However after updating the host name and successfully testing, verifying I can reach /WF and click on the workflow web services link, I still get this error when trying to start a business process:

401 Unauthorized

A restart of the LF Client fixed the Unauthroized issue. It was the Workflow Web Services
